is it true that quitting smoking while pregnant is bad?

ive had a few people tell me that if your a smoker and you become pregnant and quit smoking during the pregnancy is bad for the baby? i have a hard time believing that so i was wondering if its true.

not true at all its good for the baby if you don’t smoke while your pregnant you should give up smoking all together
