Lung Cancer Men

Posted by admin in Quit Smoking

lung cancer men
What’s the average age that smokers get lung cancer?

If you started smoking at the age of 20…..what’s the average age that you would get lung cancer at? (For men).

that is a difficult question to answer.
VERY difficult.
how often? how many cigarettes a day? is the person also overweight? drink alcohol, too? eat a lot of fast food? does the person have health insurance?
there are lots of factors before giving an average age for developing lung cancer.
other symptoms and things tend to pop up first.
like a chronic cough and wheezing. that happens fairly soon after you first start. but the cough gets worse over the years.
you would develop COPD (emphysema) first after 20-30 years of smoking.
however, with that said,
i have had plenty of male and female patients in their 20s and 30s with lung cancer and tongue cancer from smoking and dipping. they started smoking when they were 12 or 13.
it is sad watching a young person die from lung cancer from smoking. very very sad.

I had my lung removed surgicaly because of Cancer. A man of God told me God was giving me a lung!
